Haldi and Mehndi Ceremonies
As is customary of all Indian weddings, the celebrations started with the culturally rich haldi and mehndi ceremonies.
Scheduled a few days before the main event, the two ritualistic functions hold significant importance when it comes to the sacred union of two souls. While the haldi is conducted to purify and cleanse the mind and body of the couple before they begin their new life together, the mehndi is performed to attract good fortune and positive energy, as the henna decorations are considered a sign of “shagun” or good luck.
For their fun-filled haldi ceremony, Manisha and Sagar wore matching yellow outfits – Manisha a gorgeous embellished lehenga choli set, and Sagar a butter yellow and white kurta-jacket set. The Highly Anticipated Wedding Ceremony
The morning of the wedding gave all the signs of a wonderful day ahead, with the clear skies, the pleasant weather, the lush green gardens in full bloom, and a magical aura in the air. The venue at the Bear Creek Mountain Resort came alive for the big celebration.
There was a gorgeous circular mandap decorated with elegant white and green florals, and an aisle clad in white, for the lovely couple to walk down holding hands. The audience segment was also prepared with white chairs and floral accents, making the entire venue a sight to behold, thanks to Royal Elite.
For their big day, the couple chose to wear the most beautiful, embroidered matching ethnic outfits in subtle hues of pastel pink contrasted by maroon elements. While Sagar wore a regal-style heavily embroidered sherwani in baby pink paired with a soft silk dupatta and a pearl-embellished safa, Manisha chose an embroidered lehenga-choli set with contrasting embellishments in pastel pink and maroon.
The day started with the baraat – a high-energy event that brings the groom and the gang to the mandap.
