On the days leading up to the big day, Pinky and Mihir had a vibrant line-up of pre-wedding events planned. The Mehndi, Haldi, and Sangeet ceremonies, made graciously more joyous with the presence of the couple’s loved ones, were nothing short of magical. These beautiful culture-steeped pre-wedding rituals gave something of a preview of the grand ceremony at The Westin.
Mehndi
Pinky’s arms were beautifully decorated with henna per tradition by Shaheera of @hennabysheeru at the Mehndi ceremony. Having chosen traditional designs with peacock motifs, Pinky’s arms quickly turned into elegant artwork as Shaheera worked her magic. The rest of the celebration was filled with fun, frolic and lots of laughter as each of the womenfolk in Pinky’s and Mihir’s families joined in on getting their hands adorned. The evening ended with more dancing, partying, and fine feasting.
Haldi
The haldi ceremony was every bit as upbeat and filled with joy as the mehndi. As Pinky and Mihir got gracefully drenched in hues of yellow, the entire gathering united to wish the couple a lifetime of happiness and all things beautiful in the world. For the outfits, Pinky decided to wear a traditional mustard yellow lehenga choli set, while Mihir wore a matching mustard yellow kurta pajama set.
Sangeet
The Sangeet ceremony was a spectacular affair; a night filled with music, dance, drinks, food, and nothing but high energy. Pinky and Mihir celebrated the night before their wedding, their last night as singles, with the purest and most boundless joy with their closest friends and family.
For the occasion, Pinky chose an elegant sari draped ever-so-crisply by Shruti Amin. She complemented the outfit with a soft makeup look and hairdo, created by talented MUA Noor Fahan, and hair stylist Marina McRoberts.

With an overarching floral focus that exuded just the right amount of romanticism, the decorators gave the space the quintessential regal touch of a “big fat Indian wedding” making the venue a sight to behold. Baraat
The celebrations started with the groom’s arrival – the baraat event. As the entire gang of friends and family cheered on, Mihir made his way to the venue on a Maharaja Farm vehicle. The wonderful energy, the colorful outfits, the dramatic vehicle, and Mihir’s graceful presence made the event one to remember.
On the other side of the venue, Pinky got ready for her big day in the most elegant and royal-looking red lehenga. Needless to say, every special moment in the green room was captured in all its glory by Indian wedding photographer, Shan Photography.
